Welcome to The Sims-Kemper Clinical Counseling & Recovery Outpatient Services where we offer evaluations, individual counseling, outpatient group counseling, intensive outpatient treatment, aftercare and relapse prevention for addictive disorders. Our qualified and caring staff provides a licensed treatment program for addictive disorders for men, women and adolescents.
The program is designed to help individuals overcome their denial and understand the addictive disease concept; to recognize the symptoms of withdrawal and Post Acute Withdrawal; to understand the biological, psychological, and sociological effects of chemical dependency; to utilize stress management techniques in such areas as family dynamics, financial problem solving, and the workplace; to recognize and interrupt the relapse progression that exists before active relapse occurs; to develop an understanding of spiritual principles such as Self Honesty, Open-Mindedness and Willingness; to gain a working understanding of the 12-step process; and to acquire a realistic perspective of problems and their source.
